Woolworths Cricket Blast is introduction to the game for many youngsters and an action-packed program for boys & girls between the ages of 5 & 10 who want to learn the basic skills of cricket in a fun and friendly environment.  Junior Blasters (age 5-10 years) unites children through fun and exciting game-based activities.

The Junior Blasters program is designed for parents to get involved and spend some quality time with their child learning some simple cricket skills. … The Blast Crew is a great first step for first time cricket parents to get involved and have some fun with your child and provide a great experience.
The Junior Blaster program has been formulated to be conducted over 6 to 8 weeks (centre dependent) and run for a 60-minute duration.

60 – 90 minutes of fun game based activities each session

8 sessions starting on 14th November to 12th Dec (Xmas holiday break), 6th Feb to 20th Feb 2022

Sunday morning at Burnside Rec Reserve 9-10:30am

All equipment supplied. All kids get their own Blasters Pack and wear the colours of their favourite Big Bash heroes

The Get Active Kids Voucher Program helps eligible families get their kids involved in organised sport and recreation activities by reimbursing the cost of membership and registration fees, uniforms and equipment. Eligible children may be able to receive up to $200 each.

Competitive games of cricket for children aged between 8 and 16. Games are played on either Friday evenings or Saturday mornings. Played against other clubs or neighbouring suburbs within the North West corridor. 

Burnside Springs have mixed teams consisting of boys and girls, and solely girls teams with age range of Under 12 and U14s

Season is scheduled to commence early October. There is a small break during Christmas before it begins again in February and ends mid March for Finals.

Approximately 12-14 matches are played in the season

Training is held through the week between Monday and Thursday evenings. Typically starting at 5pm and runs to 6:30pm

Final training schedules are sent out to members closer to the season commencing.

Registration is packed with 

  • Coaching and Training
  • Uniform (Blue Pants, Blue Top, Sponsor Training Top & Cap)
  • Competitive Games
  • Match Day fees to pay umpires and cricket balls

Girls that bring a friend to register (Season 2021-22) will receive $100 off their memberships

The Get Active Kids Voucher Program helps eligible families get their kids involved in organised sport and recreation activities by reimbursing the cost of membership and registration fees, uniforms and equipment. Eligible children may be able to receive up to $200 each.

Family discounts apply with a sibling reduced rate of $25 for each sibling (reduction on overall family price)

The club will provide as much refund as it can possibly afford. The costs of running a cricket program extends beyond the apparel provided to its members and consists of other overheads including and not limited to: Association fees (team entires, balls etc), council recreation fees, insurance etc. All or most of these overhead fees are paid for prior to the season commencing.

  • Once 6 or more games are played within the 2021/22 cricket season (this includes missed games due to weather, heat or rain enforced), this will constitute a season. No refunds will be provided.
  • If the season does not commence dues to Covid-19 Government enforced restrictions, then $50 will be offered as a ($10 for every game missed, max 5) credit for following season, refund or  can donate back to the club.
  • Example: if 3 games were played for the entire season (with the entire season cancelled), as per the above, 3 games were effectively disrupted by government restrictions (6 games constitutes a season), a $30 refund will be offered.

We currently have 5 Senior men’s teams playing on Saturday across different grades of cricket

Season is scheduled to commence early October. There is a small break during Christmas before it begins again in mid January and ends mid March for Finals.

Approximately 12-14 matches are played in the season

Training is held typicallys on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6pm and runs to 7:30pm

Final training schedules are sent out to members closer to the season commencing.
